Buist Electric was the recipient of the following three safety awards in 2021:

The Evolution Fleet Safety Award

The Fleet Safety Awards are presented to those members that achieve the lowest accident rates. Rates are determined based off Auto Liability Claims for the most complete policy year vs. Audit Number of Power Units covered during the most complete policy year.

The Evolution Risk Control Award of Excellence

The purpose of the Risk Control Award Program is to provide recognition to those members who have demonstrated achievement in risk control as evident by proactive risk management programs, attendance at risk control workshops, OSHA frequency and severity rates below industry standards and a favorable loss ratio. The Award of Excellence is presented to those members that achieve a score within 95% of the highest score.

The ABC STEP Safety Management System – Gold level

The ABC Step Safety Management System award is given to companies in recognition of their achievements and ongoing efforts in the development of a quality safety program. Companies are encouraged and evaluated based on Total Recordable Incident Rates (TRIR), OSHA standards, and a judgment of their safety processes and policies.

Buist continues to strive for excellence in safety in everything that we do. We believe that safety is a team effort and that it takes all members of the Buist team working together to ensure the safety of our company.

For the second consecutive year, Buist Electric has won the Associated Builders and Contractors Safety Award of Excellence. Bart Pickleman, director of MIOSHA commented, “Their back to back selection is evidence of a program that is working.” SEE HERE

"I am the MDOC Fire Safety Inspector and just completed my monthly inspection for E.C. Brooks Correctional Facility. I wanted to praise one of your employees, Kyle Sitzer, for properly following the MIOSHA requirements for Lock Out Tag Out in the 200 School Building for the ACCU-1. Please pass along my appreciation to both him and your companies safety trainer for a job well done."
